WHO AM I?
My name is Jonathan (Jon) Preston, a 2007 graduate of Johnson Central High School. I grew up in Paintsville, Kentucky, and moved to Corbin in 2009, where I married my wife, Morgan, a middle school teacher at Corbin Middle School. I attend Grace on the Hill Community Church in Corbin, where I serve as a fill-in worship musician. I currently work as a tractor-trailer driver for Christian Appalachian Project, delivering supplies to those in need across 13 Appalachian states and 2 Ozark states.
Growing up, my dad taught me that if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right. As a skilled carpenter, electrician, and plumber, he built the home I grew up in, giving me hands-on experience and a strong foundation in home construction. Over the years, I worked alongside him on many homes, often repairing issues that should have been caught during inspections but were overlooked. Those experiences shaped my commitment to becoming a thorough and dependable home inspector.
My approach to home inspections is grounded in my faith in Jesus Christ and guided by Matthew 7:24, where He teaches that the wise man builds his house upon the rock. Christ is that firm foundation, and His words remind us of the importance of building on what is true, solid, and trustworthy. In the same way, I strive to help ensure that the home you’re investing in is built on a sound foundation you can depend on. That’s the heart behind my commitment to providing “Rock solid peace of mind”.
My goal is simple: to give you confidence and peace of mind in your home purchase. You deserve to know that your home is exactly what it appears to be: free from hidden issues that could lead to costly repairs down the road.
In 2025, I completed my home inspector certification through ATI Home Inspections, and in January 2026, I passed the National Home Inspectors Exam. Today, I am trained, certified, and insured, and I’m honored to be part of your journey in finding your forever home and providing you with “Rock solid peace of mind”.
Blessings,
Jonathan Preston
In loving memory of my dad,
William “Billy” Carl Preston
